225/60R17 on Touring Wheels?

Has anyone here installed 225/60R17 tires on the stock 17-inch wheels of a 2021 CR-V Touring? The original tire size is 235/60R18, but I'm considering dropping to 17s for a smoother ride and cheaper replacement cost.

I already have a set of 17-inch wheels from a previous vehicle and am looking at tire options. Will this size fit without clearance issues or affecting the speedometer too much?

Would appreciate any real-world experience or advice.

Yup, they'll fit fine. I've heard a lot of people switch to the 225/60R17s for ride comfort and cheaper rubber. Speedometer might be a little bit off but it's just like 1-2 mph tops, nothing really noticeable. Go for it. Pretty sure you won't regret it.

Switching your 2021 CR-V Touring to 225/60R17 is basically pointless, smaller tires mess up speedometer, handling, and resale value, plus the smoother ride is mostly a placebo effect
