Can i turn off CMBS permanently?

Twice now, my 2022 HRV LX's collision mitigation system has freaked out and slammed the brakes for no reason, always gives me a mini heart attack. I'm really pissed. Is there any way to turn it off for good?

I totally get the frustration, those false alarms are scary. You can turn it off temporarily through the settings, but most Hondas don't allow permanent deactivation without dealer-level tools or reprogramming

Yeah, that makes sense. I figured it wouldnt be easy to fully disable it . When you say "temporarily through the settings," do you mean it resets every time the car is restarted? Also, have you or anyone you know tried going the dealer route, did it actually help reduce the false alerts or tweak the sensitivity somehow?
