Honda HR-VA's Accelerator Problem

i've got a 2023 HRV Sport while parking it suddenly sped up and i could not stop it.. it went over the parking block a curb and hit a wall.. 6 weeks after getting it back it happened again in a parking lot but I braked fast and stopped it.. honda's got the car now and trying to figure it out but the computer says nothing is wrong.. they are calling someone from Honda maybe American Honda to help.. anyone know whats causing this or how to fix it? im scared to drive my new car..

that's a weird problem to have and an unsafe one. See what you get from honda and if they are kinda trying to put the problem back in your lap you can drop a mail or a call to nhtsa

I haven't had this issue thankfully as this is just so dangerous. I'm sorry for your experience, I think it's an isolated case and hopefully never gonna happen to anyone anymore. Must be a problem with the shifting mechanism or the electronic throttle. If you're scared, that's really sad and they owe you a thorough check for your confidence. Bring it to the dealer.

Glad you're okay. Manufacturer's fault for sure, they should replace it with a brand new one and you can actually sue them for damages too.

gawd, that's dangerous. If I were you, I would tell them to take the car back. it can cost your life

Oh my.. that's crazy! Did you get the car replaced or something? i would demand it

Hope you had this checked or replaced at this point. just don't drive the car if you feel unsafe. Keep us updated since who knows someone here might also experience this.
