Is there a pre-heating/cooling function on the 2023 Honda HR-V LX trim via the HondaLink app? I'm not sure if it's an included feature or we just don't know how to find and activate it. Are there also aftermarket options we can explore?

I don't think it comes with the pre-heating or cooling function via the HondaLink app as a standard feature. I think I've seen it for higher trims like the Sport or EX L, which have remote start built into the key fob and sometimes the app.

Yeah unfortunately, the LX trim for the 2023 HR-V doesn't come with the HondaLink remote start feature. That's a higher-end feature, like @frumkin1987 mentioned. But even if your car supports it, Honda also requires a paid subscription to their Remote package in the HondaLink app to get that functionality.

Aside from Compustar, you can also check with Fortin for aftermarket options. Both make great kits that are specifically designed for the HR-V. Many of them are also plug-and-play, which makes for a cleaner and easier install!! Just make sure to check compatibility for your specific model year and trim!

I was at my dealership over the weekend and I ran into another owner who had his car installed with an aftermarket kit from Start-X. He said it's a plug-and-play install which he did in about 30 minutes. He showed me the extra fob he got with it and said it works perfectly for him, especially during the winter. I don't know other details beyond that but it seems like a great way to get the feature you want without having to trade up!
