Just picked up a 2021 HR-V EX-L after some time away from Honda and i'm planning to add a hitch., mainly for a bike rack, not towing. I saw some discussions on this but was hoping fellow HR-V owners could recommend a good hitch option. Thanks in advance!

Nice pickup! I've got the same HR-V and went with the Curt Class 1 hitch, it is super great for bike racks, and you don't need any drilling, the install should be pretty quick too

Nice, welcome back to the Honda family! Check out Curt or Draw-Tite hitches. Both are pretty popular options that are designed for the HR-V and are well-suited for a bike rack! Installation can be a DIY job if you're handy, but a local U-Haul or an auto shop can also do it for a reasonable price if you'd rather not mess with it. Just make sure to get a hitch that's specifically for your year and model.

Thanks for the tips! I was leaning toward a DIY install, but good to know a shop could handle it if needed. Quick question thought, do either Curt or Draw-Tite offer hitches that wont interfere with the rear sensors on the HR-V?

That's a great question! Some Curt and Draw-Tite hitches are designed to sit low enough to prevent any interference with sensors. However, it's always a good idea to check the fitment notes specific to your HR-V's trim and model year.
